Happy days on that halictid bee. Holy cow! That skeeter photo is boss, too, but for the grain. Did you shoot it at a high ISO?

I believe so. I was shooting on aperture priority mode, so I was not paying attention. This mode sets the ISO automatically, so sometimes I get some grain issues. This one was blowing around on the surface of the water, so I didn't get time for a full manual workup.
I am getting a bit better with the camera, and I am enjoying it quite a bit. What I should be doing instead is working on my thesis, but I gotta unwind somehow!
